Body Contouring

CoolSculpting® & Venus Versa™

Want to lose love handles or thin out your thighs? How about tame your tummy or tone up a double chin?

Body contouring is a great non-surgical option if you’re looking for natural, effective body sculpting, skin rejuvenation, and fat reduction. The Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Center uses CoolSculpting® and Venus Versa™ technologies for the best results.

CoolSculpting®

CoolSculpting®* is an FDA-approved fat-freezing treatment that removes unwanted fat accumulations around the body without surgery. CoolSculpting® draws the fat accumulation between two cooling panels. You’ll feel a firm pull and pressure that cools the selected fat tissue for about an hour.

After a few treatments (depending on your personalized medical plan), CoolSculpting® results are noticeable in about three weeks. Distinct results are seen between one to four months, creating a shorter recovery time than surgery.

CoolSculpting® improves the appearance of your skin and achieves natural-looking results in a safe, effective way.

Venus Versa™

Venus Versa™** is a versatile multi-treatment platform that uses Intense Pulsed Light and SmartPulse™ technology to reduce cellulite.

This precise light travels through several layers of skin and generates heat when absorbed by the tissue without damaging it. During treatment, a cooling system is used to protect your skin and to avoid discomfort. This virtually pain-free procedure requires multiple treatment sessions that last up to 20 minutes.

Consult the Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Center to discuss the best body contouring treatment option for you.

*CoolSculpting® isn’t a weight loss solution for obesity. If you don’t maintain a healthy lifestyle, fat accumulations are likely to return. Only a percentage of fat tissue is eliminated.

Don’t get CoolSculpting® if you have cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, or cold agglutinin disease. Tell your doctor if you have known sensitivity to cold; known sensitivity or allergy to isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, fructose, and glycerin; impaired peripheral circulation in the treatment area; nerve pain; impaired skin sensation; open or infected wounds; bleeding disorders or simultaneous use of blood thinners; recent surgery or scar tissue in the treatment area; hernia in or adjacent to the treatment area; skin conditions in the treatment area; active implanted device like a pacemaker or defibrillator; chronic pain; and/or anxiety disorder.

Common side effects of CoolSculpting® include redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness, and discomfort in the treated area. Side effects are temporary and will resolve completely.

**This non-surgical treatment is available only in the Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Center Hagerstown, MD office.
